birthday, back to school & baby book

My baby girl turned 10 on the 29th, gosh time is flying. I thought I would share a few photos from her Justin Bieber pool party (LOL)!

the whole gang

This was my best attempt at a Justin cake, with a little paper crafting thrown in!

some fun in the activity pool/lazy river

Then it was back to school on Monday! The exclamation point was for me :-)

I finished up the custom baby book today. This book is made by Doodlebug Designs and has this cute window on the front. I really like the way it opens and exposes the page again with a little less embellishments.

I am working on a Halloween book for ebay and some other custom work this week. Happy scrapping :-)

life stories

I have had the MME Life Stories paper for almost a year and thought it was time to use it. I love this paper, but it is very monochromatic and I was struggling to make it have a little contrast. This is what I came up with -- I really tried to pull all of the colors out of the paper.

Anyway, I really love this little mini... just so cute! And the title, "always remember" can really work with any photos. You can see the entire book on ebay here. Today, I am working on a custom baby girl book and then I will be jumping in to all my new Halloween and fall items to make a few creations for ebay (keep watching)!

clean scrapping :-)

Alright, so it has been a long time since my scrapbook room has looked like this. Today, I decided to organize and clean out.... and while it was looking so straight I thought I would share some photos of my space.

My desk is from Target (online) and I love it!! The work space is nice and big, plenty of room for scrapping. It was the most expensive piece in the room, but well worth it! I keep baskets below with punches and tools. The black 12x12 boxes on the top shelves are for current projects.

This was our old IKEA tv unit that was in our basement. I put a few coats of white paint on it and some new hardware. This piece really worked well in here... it fit perfect in this nook in the room. I keep tons of stuff in this... my albums, picture boxes, magazines, flowers, ribbons -- behind the doors is all my paper storage and the draws at the bottom house chipboard albums and my finished ebay items.

These are the cubes from Target. The rest of all my supplies are kept here. I have each draw labeled, anything and everything is here... chipboard, alphas, stickers, rub-ons, clear stamps, adhesive, prima flowers, 6x6 paper pads, 4 draws of ribbon, stickles and paints, and so much more. These cubes really hold so much! And on top you can see my cricut, cuddle bug and iron stand with more embellishments.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my space. Now I just need to do my best to keep it looking like this all the time (yeah, right -- lol). Have a great weekend everyone!!

love this tray!

I have been wanting to make one of these trays for a while now. My local craft store had some left in stock so I picked a few up. This one is up for auction on ebay, minus my family photos (see it here). I really wanted to use rich colors, different patterns and textures -- thought it turned out beautiful. I will definitely be making one for my scrap space :-) and I will share it when I have it complete! I am working on some new things this week, visiting with old friends tomorrow and trying to enjoy the last week and a half of summer vacation with my girls :-) oh yeah, and planning my daughter's 10th birthday pool party -- yikes!

back to school

I can hardly believe it is almost that time again -- only two more weeks here until the start of school -- yikes! While I love spending time with my girls with the no schedule, no rush, lazy days of summer, I am looking forward to getting back into more of a routine... and truthfully, some quiet me time :-) I will mostly use that time to get things done around the house and to scrap. This will be the last year that my little one will be home part of the day with me, she starts kindergarten next year. This will be a little bitter sweet... my oldest will go to middle school and the other kindergarten -- yikes! Anyway, one more year before these milestones. And with the start of school around the corner (or maybe it has started by you already), I thought I would make a school book for ebay. I have never made a school book before (besides for my girls) and thought it would be really fun. I have had some vintage style school paper for years that I just love and wanted to use on this book. You can check out the whole book here. Today I am finishing up a project for ebay -- NOT a book or a 12x12 page, something I have really been wanting to make! I will get it listed today or tomorrow and also post it here on the blog. OK, hope everyone has a wonder day and enjoy these last days of summer!!

dream layout

Happy Friday everyone! I listed one more 12x12 layout on ebay, if you are interested see it here. I had cut some of the My Mind's Eye Life Stories paper for this layout... I stickles on the flowers and bird (it has been awhile since I used stickles)! Anyway, it turned out really beautiful -- even more so in person (hard to capture the sparkle in the pictures). I am working on something new for ebay this weekend and hope to have it up early next week. Have a great weekend :-)

one book, two pages

I just listed a few things on ebay... the summer fun book has taken me way to long to make!! Not sure why, just one of those books that kept getting pushed aside. At any rate, I think it came out really cute -- nice, bright, fun colors, you can see it on ebay here. I also listed two new 12x12 pages... a family page and a baby girl page, I have to say, I have really enjoyed making the 12x12 layouts lately :-) It is just so much more room to design and has given me a chance to use some of those bigger embellishments. Alright, that is all for today, I have a few things I will be working on this week and I may even get them listed!!

back from vacation

We had a wonderful week at the beach! Every year both sides of our family and close friends come to Ocean City Maryland for a week :-) My girls absolutely love it there and I personally could have stayed for a month (a girl can dream)! Thought I would share a few photos from the week -- I always take so many pictures that I usually make a 8x8 book of the trip, better get scrapping - lol!
I am finishing a book tonight for ebay that I have been working on for weeks. I will probably list it sometime tomorrow. And I am also working on some more 12x12 layouts -- hope to have them up this week. Alright, getting my girls to bed now -- they stayed up way to late on vacation.
